I got an 80% on the test, so says the internet. Better than the average. I dunno if he’s curved or anything, and I dunno that I can’t get some more points once I’ve actually seen what’s been marked wrong.<\/p>\n

For the record, I did not lose 8’s character sheet.<\/p>\n

Played D&D today. Wasn’t long enough and not enough happened. \ud83d\ude41 We need to play the evil campaign more too.<\/p>\n

<\/span>So I went on my own to that Sir<\/st1:placename> John<\/st1:placename> Soan<\/st1:placename> Museum<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place>. <\/span>I paid a pound. <\/span>I\u2019m so nice.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>The house was pretty sweet. <\/span>All the mirrors and color skylights were very original and uh\u2026 interesting. <\/span>Takes some architectural skill to make it all seem useful.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>The guy had a lot of stuff. <\/span>I liked the sarcophagus of Seti I and it\u2019s placement. <\/span>He also had this cool statue of Hercules fighting Cerberus. <\/span>I can\u2019t spell anything. <\/span>I\u2019m writing standing up on the tube at the moment so pardon the handwriting. <\/span>I also noticed Soan had quite a few stone flower carvings. <\/span>Had them up all over the place.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>The Hoggart paintings were very entertaining. <\/span>I wanna see the Harlot series they mentioned. <\/span>Says that the paintings were criticized as being vulgar. <\/span>I think it\u2019s good that Soan saw the satire. <\/span>It\u2019s curious, however, that I only saw one intact penis on all his statues. <\/span>Maybe he had limits, or maybe that wasn\u2019t his doing. <\/span>He got one of the Hoggart series from the Garricks. <\/span>So maybe he knew Johnson. <\/span>Didn\u2019t see Johnson\u2019s Dictionary anywhere though. <\/span>There were a lot of books, though. <\/span>I didn\u2019t look at them all. <\/span>He did have at least three sets of dictionaries.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>I saw a drawing\/painting that possibly not everyone else saw. <\/span>It was behind the main paintings in the room upstairs. <\/span>It was of one of his designs for a palace. <\/span>It would have been a pretty sweet palace. <\/span>Had cool statues all over it. <\/span>I think it would have been pricy.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>The train is stopped for some unknown amount of time. <\/span>I should investigate how to get somewhere interesting.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Went to the Natural<\/st1:placename> History<\/st1:placename> Museum<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place>. <\/span>It\u2019s quite the impressive building. <\/span>Monkeys climbing the walls and large cats for gargoyles and the like. <\/span>I liked the building more than any of the exhibits.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>The collections were quite inclusive, though. <\/span>Especially the mineral one. <\/span>They had a lot of rocks. <\/span>There was nothing wrong with the exhibits, really, they were just too elementary for me.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>I was quite impressed by the crowds. <\/span>Good to see people interested and such. <\/span>The museum has about 4 cafes and at least 3 gift shops though. <\/span>Guess they have to pay for it, but it kinda detracts from the academic atmosphere.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>One of the ancient ancestors of the elephant looked really pathetic.<\/span> <\/span>About two feet off the ground at it\u2019s dorsal point, it\u2019s ventral side barely raised.<\/span> <\/span>It\u2019s \u201ctrunk\u201d was just a nub.<\/span> <\/span>It was round like a worm, but w\/ legs.<\/span> <\/span>Plus the flabby gray skin didn\u2019t help\u2026 or the modern elephant as comparison.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
