<\/span>Kait was late meeting me at the Victoria<\/st1:State> and Albert<\/st1:PlaceName> Museum<\/st1:PlaceName><\/st1:place> today. <\/span>She got a little lost. <\/span>We got to see the cool stuff in there and then managed to find China<\/st1:PlaceName> Town<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> and a book store for Kait. <\/span>We got some noodles for lunch and she bought some plays. <\/span>I\u2019m going to go back to the V&A<\/st1:PlaceName> Museum<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> tomorrow.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Kait decided she wanted to see a play tonight, which is good. <\/span>She has to leave her hotel at 4 am tomorrow so she considered bedding early, but changed her mind. <\/span>It\u2019s the interval to Night of the Iguana. <\/span>I think I saw it at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival before. <\/span>It\u2019s gone sufficiently from memory for it to not matter though. <\/span>Woody I find hard to buy as a real actor, but I suppose he\u2019s doing an okay job. <\/span>He bumbled a line or two, but I don\u2019t constantly think of Cheers w\/ him up there.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Saw Ken and wife leaving the play. <\/span>They said they liked the play. <\/span>That\u2019s good. <\/span>I agree. <\/span>It was good. <\/span>Even though nothing much happens. <\/span>Although, I suppose the iguana on a leash metaphor was developed and explored, or whatever.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>At the theater they said over the intercom before the show \u201cIf you would like sweets or hard candy, please un-wrap them now.\u201d <\/span>It got quite a laugh and I heard someone comment, \u201cThat\u2019s a new one.\u201d <\/span>However, they\u2019ve been saying that at Ashland<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> for several years now.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> <\/span>Now random commentary on British life. <\/span>Today subject, bathroom light switches. <\/span>What reason is there to have the switch for the light in the bathroom outside the door to the bathroom? <\/span>I can think of several reasons why not to. <\/span>For example, some second party could darken the bathroom while one was locked inside, causing distress. <\/span>Also, it makes it impossible to go to the bathroom without illuminating for some time the adjacent rooms, making it inconvenient for one\u2019s friend and family. <\/span>Stupid Brits.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>I\u2019ve realized I\u2019m looking forward to getting back to the relative smoke free life of the U.S.<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> <\/span>I\u2019ve always known I hated smoke, but I\u2019ve never been so inundated for so long. <\/span>No wonder these countries have universal health care.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
