Now that it’s subtitled this video is awesome

I haven’t slept in 28 hours. Last night I just really easily stayed up past the time where I’m sleepy. Later on I was just awake, and then I had to go roguing, so that kept me awake until noon. It’s not easy to sleep during the noon hours… at least not in this instance. I guess I’ll try to stay awake until a reasonable hour. Friends are using my place for a poker game. So that should be interesting.

I only go 7 rye. 4 tracks and 7 rye. 98% after the first day apparently.

When I was staying up all night I watched a lot of google videos. I only linked two… and they’re not the best or anything. Weird stuff on the internet.

Saw the moving Thank You For Smoking yesterday with my parents. It was pretty good I think. I laughed and such. I kinda like all the side characters more than the main one, but I suppose they’re there for comic relief, which is what I tend to like.

In Smallville Chloe has changed her hair and turned ever so slightly evil. I still like her better though.

Went roguing today. Yesterday was cancelled due to rain. The weather was pretty good today. The ground was mud when we started and dry when we finished. Keep the dust down and the air cool again though. Unseasonable bearable.

When I was out roguing I found a rock in the field. It’s not good to have big rocks in the field, cause they mess up the expensive machinery. So I was carrying it out to the edge of the field to put it where it won’t hurt anything. It was only about a 10 lb rock, but carrying an oblong 10 lb thing for half a mile gets a bit tiring. So when we made it to the end of the track I set it down, waiting for everyone to get settled in. I suspected Mom would want the rock for some reason, so I was getting ready to carry it the mile out. I half jokingly asked mom if she wanted to carry the rock a bit, and she did. She carried it the whole way out. I was surprised she could do that. I guess it’s those years carrying babies or something.

I only got 43 rye today, and I covered 8 tracks. We were going over an area we already did, to get the sneaky ones. Gives me cause to estimate that I get about 97% of the rye on my first pass though, which isn’t shabby.

Went to a BYOB and BYOM BBQ at Steve’s. That’s beverage and meat. I didn’t bring any beverage, and I didn’t drink anything, but I did bring some hamburgers and ate them. I unlocked a bunch of stuff for Steve/Steve’s sister in Double Dash.

Pat is dating Brittany again apparently. Can’t say I condone such action.

I started playing Wild Arms again. I love that game. Old school. Although I have to move past the lazy summer stage pretty soon and start doing grad school things. I’m sorta waiting for farm labor to be over to get to work on that I think though.

Stole a bunch of TV from Steve. Got Curb Your Enthusiasm 8. Make you happy?

I hate to admit it but I’ve been watching a lot of Smallville lately. Watched it some back when it came out cause I had nothing to do in high school and because it had a flimsy nerdy pretext. I’ve started watching it now because I downloaded 4 seasons of it when 8 expressed interest and it seems like a waste not to watch them while I have the chance. They take up like 30 gigs.

Anyway, for those of you who don’t know, the bulk of the show is about this ridiculous love triangle between Superman, Lana, and Chloe, so rather than write a post riddled with the flawed physics of the show, I thought I’d weigh in on that subject. I have to say, if I was in Superman’s shoes I’d go after Chloe. I mean, they’re both excellent fictional characters, and I’d like both if I could have them, but I think being Superman I’d somehow be adverse to polygamy.

The choice is kinda odd. If I were asked, before I met 8, what traits I look for in a woman and then the inquisitive persisted long enough to get past all my joking brush offs and then waited around to get past the time it takes for me to consider such a thing I’d say things like, long dark hair and tan skin. Now days I’d just say 8 over and over until whoever left me alone. Anyway, Lana has long dark hair and tan skin. Chloe is all white and short haired. She’s the better pick though, even just physically. I wonder why my ideas about specific qualities about what I find attractive don’t match actual females I find attractive. One would think that either one would form a composite of attractive females and extract details about that composite to list as attractive, or one would pick traits and then find people attractive based on how many of those traits they exhibit. Apparently I don’t work that way.

Beyond physical superiority there are a myriad of other reasons why Chloe beats Lana. Well, maybe not myriad, but some. I’m mean, these are at best 2 dimensional characters I’m talking about here. Anyway, she’s actually funny sometimes for one, and she’s far less often irrationally angry at Superman. She doesn’t ride horses. Ok… I guess there is only 1 reason, cause that middle one is probably not true, and then that horses thing. 😛 The majority of the acting skill goes to Chloe actress as well though.

See how late it is? And nobody even came to visit me. Anyway, the lesson is that if you try hard enough even poorly written WB sitcoms can make you think enough to inspire blogging. Either that or the lesson is blogging requires no thought. I choose former!

Edit: The over arching message is that 8 should come up here and keep me from watching too much TV.

here you go guys. I was trying to make it all cool like Maki does but failed. I couldn’t get any audio file hosting sites to work ‘cept file den and they apparently suck. 😛 Got it from the woot podcast. They apparently have one like every day. It’s silly.

My parents and I confirmed today that torrenting steals so much bandwidth that a VOIP phone can’t get service.

That’s pretty much what my life is these days. It’s an ok life. I only got 210 rye today. Clearly we’re running out. That’s a good thing.

Been helping Aaron and Pat put their characters together… trying to get people moving on my online campaign. Looks like things are happening.

Yesterday I also took away the last best lap time trial records John had in Double Dash on my memory card. I guess that’s an achievement.

More roguing tomorrow. More reading about D&D now. 😀

Edit on Wednesday: 210 again. This time I only made it because we spread out and I had to cover like 3 tracks though.
