I had two finals today. They went pretty well I suppose. Nothing spectacular. The thing to report is that I’m basically done. I only have to fill out a little evaluation thing and go to my comp sci final on Friday. Comp sci final will be easy. So I’ve been getting some play on.

8, John, and Keston are all sick. John went to the hospital last night he is so sick. 😛 They’re trying to weaken me I think, but I’m holding out ok I think.

Nobel Intent: Tylenol is the leading cause of liver failure

Yesterday I didn’t do much productive. I did finish my physics homework. Other than that I saw Narnia and played Dawn of War and dinked around on the computer. Went out to El Primo w/ Keston and 8 too.

We were going to see Narnia at 3, but it was sold out so we bought tickets for 9ish. The movie was pretty good I thought. At least nice to look at. The white witch isn’t the same chick as the borg queen, I checked. Too bad. The evil little dwarf dude is definitely the Oopa Loopa though, so check it out just for that.

I beat Dawn of War. Going on to the Expansion now. So far it’s trickier for me cause the units suck, you just get more. In the original my units almost never died, so I didn’t have to worry so much about making and deploying more. 😛

I got my final comp sci program working pretty much. I have to make it look a little prettier and hopefully get the error message working, but that’s it. I even added a little functionality in class today when I was bored.

Besides finishing that I just have to finish my lab notebook for vert phys., which means about 3 lab write ups, and study for the finals. I’m not going to study for any of them but vert phys I don’t think though. 😛 So I’m pretty ok.

8 has a bunch of stuff due on Wednesday apparently. Like her novella and some other theater thing. So wish her good luck I guess.

Final candidate for the bio position is speaking in 1.5 hours. The only guy. I heard the chair of the department talking to my vert. phys. professor about what might happen if he picked the only guy. There’s only one female professor in the department currently. I’m kinda hoping this guy is vastly superior to the women, just to see if he gets hired. 😛

About to head off to go see the final night of student directed plays. Deeksha and Dimitri’s play is tonight. 8’s play went well by the way. She apparently is too busy to update the blog. I didn’t go to Thursday’s plays because of cs workshop. Sad day and whatnot.

There’s a plan to see Narnia tomorrow with a bunch of friends. Maybe that will be cool.

Comedian tonight. Hope he’s good. 8 can’t go see it, at least not all of it, cause of the plays. I suppose that means Dimitri and Deeksha can’t go either. 😛

Aaron said he bought me a Christmas present. You hear that all you other friends… the bar has been raised.

I like Dawn of War. I’m on the 10th mission. My old friend just betrayed me. 🙁 It’s cool though, I get to kill him I’m pretty sure.

8 calls me Stinky Bear a lot.

Only one more day of classes. And then finals. Weee. 😛

Saw a lecture by a professor of chem from UofO or OSU or something. It was pretty cool. They might have found a way to make ammonia at room temperature and pressure in water, which would decrease Americas energy consumption 1%. That’s a side effect. They were trying to make a substance that could suck N2 out of natural gas because about 20% of the nations natural gas is contaminated so much as to be unusable. They think they have a working molecule for that too. Nuts. 4.5 years of work. Not bad.

I am getting ok at java GUI’s (graphical user interface). I just finished two applications with them. Have another one due next week sometime. The one next week I have to do from scratch, but I should be ok. The other two were basically conversions from non-GUI to GUI.

Was my last class of Vert. Phys. and Yoga today. 🙁 Those were the good ones. Actually, I like my classes this semester overall.

I just realized I never put my transcript on my webpage, and I said I would. Did I say I would? Oh well, if I did, it’s not there. 😛 Maybe it’s for the best.

My last final is at 8:00 AM on Friday.

On to the important things, namely me.

I’ve not been blogging lately. Mostly because I’ve been busy. Partly because I’ve been putting off until I knew a certain thing so I could blog about it. Now I know.

First, I’ve been working quite a bit lately on my website. It was due today, and is consequently up. Go look at it. Report errors. 8 already found 3 or 4, but I fixed those. Hopefully I’ll be updating that site periodically, and making it awesome. We’ll see how my motivation holds up.

The thing I was waiting to tell you all was the status of Milo. See, more than a week ago now, 8 spilled a glass of water on Milo. He never woke up. I could even get to the BIOS. I called Toshiba and they said it was under warrenty, so that was good. I called the guys they wanted me to take the computer to to get it fixed, and they said no data recovery. Luckily, I go to Linfield, and they do that for me. I wasn’t very optimistic though, since I had an IDE Error #00. Today I found out that they got everything off though. It hasn’t been burned onto DVD’s for me yet, cause idiots on campus are getting a new virus that’s out, but it’s coming they say. So that’s all good.

I’ve been going to a lot of guest lectures. 3 of the 4 candidates to take over a position in the bio department have made their presentations. The last one is on Friday. There’s some other guest science person tomorrow, I didn’t read the poster carefully, that I’ll prolly see, and an author at the library speaking, which I might go to. 8’s play showings are today, so I’m going to at least one of them. Oh, and yesterday I went to a talk given by some guy who interned at Intel.

Busy busy. Almost got this semester done with though, and I’m not swamped with work like most people. I have some, but I think I’ve managed better than most, and better than usual.

Mom wanted to see it, so I’m sure everyone else does too. It was going to be a normal 9 x 13 cake, but Kait came home while I was making it and wanted me to flip it out of the pan. In the process it kinda broke a bit so I cut it so there would be a good part. Dunno who ate that bottom corner. We suspect Dimitri.

Remember Barbie? That’s not her real name, that’s just what we call her. Anyway, we were talking about her at the end of October I think because she wrote a letter to the editor of the school newspaper after getting an MIP. It was hilariously stupid. Anyway, just a little update on her progress.

The comment when she posted it was “I’d tap that. ” At least she spelled everything right.
