Happy Anniversary Kait.

I’m back from the mycology field trip. I’ve been back for about 6 hours now, but I’m a busy guy. I had to do mushroom maintance on the ones I collected this morning. I didn’t wake up until 11ish cause nobody woke me up. I went out and found some pretty good mushrooms though, found a nice collection of Aminita muscaria which is the big red one w/ white spots on top… the famous one that everyone thinks of when they think mushroom. Anyway, it’s highly halucinogenic and slightly toxic… so if you wanna risk it you prolly only have about 1% chance of death, but you have a virtual certainty of mild to intence gastrointestinal upset. Besides… most of you can’t find it cause you don’t live out in the middle of no where… or ur in Kennewick where the lack of moisture prohibits such growing. anyway, I found these neato purple mushroom the day before… didn’t get a picture of them though because the camera battery died right when I took it, so apparently it didn’t save… but I didn’t figure that out till I’d already started drying them… sad… Murphy will be pissed. Anyway, I got 5 identified collections under my belt and a bunch of unidentified ones to work off. Good stuff, and we had food a plenty. Most of the class played this stupid answer gross questions game after work was done and stuff… so I learned that all the girls in the class are drunken sluts. To varying degrees I suppose. 😛 Since I’ve gotten back I’ve pretty much been doing just homework… which I have a lot of still to do and I will return to that shortly. I’ve got my History homework out of the way though now I think, so I’ll move towards chem. Big huge pile of chem. I have to pick classes for next semester and jan term more definately too before tomorrow, I have an appointment with my advisor tomorrow and I’d like to have something useful to talk to him about. Doy. So yeah, that’s pretty mcuh the update on my life. Yay mushrooms! Boo Kait being where I’m not.

I’m leaving for my mycology field trip soon. So I’ll be gone until Sunday afternoon sometime and then I’ll be frantically doing all the homework I couldn’t do during the weekend cause I was spending all my time doing mycology. Nicely O chem gave me a lab right up due, another lab right up due, and pre lab due, a worksheet due and homework for chapter 6 due all on Monday and Tuesday. Also nicely I have to pick the primary source in my history class, write a paper on it, and make a presentation by Monday/Wednesday. *shakes head* lame.

I’m at the library. I fall asleep if I try to read about ascomycota… and I’m going to learn everything I need in lecture anyway, and since I didn’t bring anything else to work on I’m messing around on the computers. Just got done w/ fall break. I played X-2 which is not a normal thing for me but whatever. It’s a pretty cool game actually, I have been having fun playing it anyway. I did a lot of D&D and Shadowrun thinking, which was good. I still need to finish my Shadowrun char. tho but I need to get a hold of the GM so I can ask him a few questions. He’s never online though. Blah Blah Blah… I’m going to DM at home over break… except my parents keep trying to take me away for breaks. I should be home a few days a year though, which is enough I guess. Everyone that is playing is a newb anyway. The guy sitting next to me smokes… I don’t like the smell of smoke. I’m downloading the first episode of Strangerhood onto this computer for no reason… maybe I’ll talk to Kait and be able to save it onto her Z drive was my logic. whatever. I need to make a presentation next week I guess… better figure out what that’s going to be about sometime. Stupid non science classes. I think over Jan Term I’m going to take this US/Mexico Border class and Yoga… real me. Get a lot of requirements done though. Kait’s thinking of taking a web design class next semester, which would be cool, cause then she could teach me and I would make websites that will become international internet phenomena or something. Bunch of weird Frat guys around me… I don’t like frats either. Hmm… Oh yeah, season premier of South Park is on tonight, I think I’ll try and watch it, and that new cartoon, Drawn Together that’s going to be on afterwards… I hope it’s funny. Then they can cancel it and I can download all the episodes over the summer. Blah Blah Blah Blah. Gonna go to a lecture tonight too… uh… about islamic women or something I think. Whoo. Went to a nanotechnology one earlier today… that’s more my style… but I pretty much like all the lectures I go to. I’m weird that way. Ramble Ramble Ramble. Man, I’ve got a lot of time to kill…. Maybe I’ll update again before I leave. Prolly not. I dun think u guys r that interested.

It turns out that I have strep throat too… just of the non normal Group A type. So I have mild tonsilitus because of that and strep and “really bad mono”. That quote’s from the doctor. Anyway, I guess I have to go get another perscription and I have samples to keep my stomach from dieing from the meds.

I have mono. I’m supposed to get some medicine. Kait’s all worried that she’s going to get mono now too… but her mom thinks that she’s already had it. I hope I don’t give her mono.

I went to the doctor, no thanks to John. I dunno what’s up with that, I’ll leave it to him to describe his side of the story by leaving a post. This is an excellent opportunity to post. Nobody likes to comment when I say things. Anyway, they say I don’t have strep… so another stuck out tounge at john, and they then proceeded to test me for mono which involved blood letting. But I’m all a manly man when it comes to blood letting. Anyway, the nice doctor lady is supposed to call me before 6 and tell me if I have mono or not. If I have mono then they have to do things to protect me from the symptoms or something cause they suck at actually fixing the disease since it’s caused by a virus. If I don’t have mono then she thinks it’s just a bacteria a lot like strep, but not strep, and they’ll pretend it’s strep and cure me by filling me with antibiotics. Sounds full proof. Frankly mono seems like what it’s going to be though. Which is all blah. Anyway, I got there via Casey the RA who graciously took me at a moments notice and I got back from a surprise visit from Mike Arbogast. I’d like to thank them both for their services and timeliness and well as anyone who helped organize my return trip since I had basically nothing to do with it. Frankly I’m surprised I got back, but I have heard that pleasant surprise exists so now I can say I’ve seen it. Now that I’ve done phase one of doctor stuff I suppose I should do some work. I have to kinda stay in my actual room until she calls anyway. Kait I think gets back soon though… and that always ruins my work ethic. I’ve got to study for the micology test that I didn’t have to take cause I was at the doctors, and do a medly of organic chem assignments, that’s all due Monday and Tuesday. Technically nothing is due tomorrow, but I will endeavor not to procrastinate. Ahh man… I think I get assigned a paper tomorrow in history. Whatever. I’ll post again if they figure out what I have, like any of you care.
