Play #2

I saw The Two Gentlemen of Verona tonight. I don’t think my good friend Olmos was at this show. I think he saw the one in the New Theater.

Anyway, the show was probably the funniest play of the set, and therefore probably the one I’ll like best. There was a dog that I’m sure will be/is all the rage. It had many good jokes. Silly love story of course, but again, whatcha gonna do? They put in some songs and dances as well, they were funny. And the bandits were dressed all Goth.

I’m supposed to sleep now, so I will. Nothing is flowing out of my head anyway.

More me being right on the whole console thing

Boing Boing: Blu-Ray PlayStations won’t play Blu-Ray discs

It’s looking bad for Sony.

(edit: Ok, so they changed the article, saying it’s not really true. That’s what I get for trusting other people. But they corrected their mistake, and so shall I. I can still point here for my being rightness though.

Play #1 + Battlestar Galactica

Edward James Olmos, seen here looking cool, was at the play I saw just now. We saw Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I think he liked it.

I liked it alright. They put in a few jokes. The philosophy behind the play isn’t my favorite topic, but what are ya gonna do? It had a chick with a eye patch.

My throat is kinda not working so well. Kinda sux0rs. I dunno what the deal is with my throat. It’s not normal. My tonsils are giant. I think it causes an increased risk of infection, and possibly and increased sensitivity to inflammation. I’ve had much worse though. I can still eat and swallow ok. I just hope it doesn’t get worse.

Curses!

I had about 2.5 hours worth of work I had done on my D&D Wiki erased today. I have since figured out how to make it auto save everytime I do anything, but I’ll probably never have Firefox freeze again.

In other news, I’ve parted from 8 temporarily. She’s in McMinnville and I’m in Roseburg in the Meyer’s house. I didn’t go to the fair and instead worked on my wiki. /sob I dun think I woulda liked the fair much.

Tomorrow we have to get up pretty early to head to Ashland. We have a matinee showing of some play. I never know what I’m seeing very far in advance.

I am attempting to put a positive spin on the loss of my work by making my Wiki slightly differently as I go through it again. I’m making links to everything I might ever concieveably link to, as I can think of now anyway. That way it will be maximally easy to expand the wiki. Assuming I ever get even a small amount of data on it. 😛

Work is hard

I finally finished watching the WWDC06 keynote, work keeps interrupting me, and near the end they do a demo of video chat with the feature that you can play a video behind you, to make it look like you’re somewhere cool. One that they do is of the Timber Terror in Silverwood. I thought it was funny. I actually practically have that video. I posted it on this blog a long time ago. Actually, this was before YouTube… so I just posted a link to a hosting site, so it’s gone by now.

8 and I are officially leaving Kennewick tomorrow. We’re heading to Mac where we’ll dump my gf and then head to Ashland. I’ll probably be online, but just a heads up.

I should sleep now.

Oh, and start playing Online D&D. Everyone’s doing it.

I don’t think 8 puts enough of her personal life online

At least not in this blog. She’s got all the interesting stories she doesn’t tell you. I tell you if anything interesting happens to me.

At work today I helped out a grad student working under Dr. Felsot. Basically did the same thing I did last week over again. I got all the easy jobs. I had plenty of time to listen to podcasts and find amusing YouTube videos.

Tomorrow before work I get the dentist appointment treat.

The next day (instead of Thursday as previously thought) we’re heading south for the infamous Oregon Shakespeare Festival trip. We’re staying the first night in McMinnville to drop off Kait. The next day we go down to Roseburg probably. Then we finally make it to Ashland on Friday and watch plays until Monday morning when we drive back up here.

During my long weekend I started working on a database of important figures and places in my D&D campaign I’m running online. It’s become quite extensive, which is for the best. It’ll allow for a better experience later. I’ve set it up as a web page, which I don’t intend to host, but the links are convenient and all. Does anyone know how to make it so they stay blue all the time? I know it’s possible, but I don’t wanna fiddle to much, and, so far anyway, I’m not motivated enough to research it. I did figure out how to do combo links though. 😛

Andrew and Steve have both returned from their long absences, along with Pat from his short one. The rest of my summer is pretty busy though. After the Ashland trip I have 8 days to study for my GRE. And after the GRE I’ve got only 3 or 4 days to worry about work and PAX and moving back to school and what classes I’m going to take and grad school and if I can get credit for my work. And then most of my brain power will have to be spent on molecular cell biology and such.

According to Google it just started raining here. It’s been lightninging and thundering for a while now.

I’ve got a small rant/thought brewing I might post sometime. Also, cheers to the bloke or dame that found this blog by searching for “I like to singa”. I still have that episode. Comment or something, I’ll e-mail it to you. 🙂
