Do I smell like smoke?

We had mad campfires so I should. Pat decided we had to burn every scrap of wood we had the last night, so we made a bit of a bon fire. Roasted my marshmallows about 1.5 feet from the fire. 😛

Trip was fun. Good food, specially for camping. We rode 21 miles on our first biking excursion. I rode Pat’s mom’s bike because she didn’t go, and that way I’d have a light. It’s a good thing I did have the light too cause it was plenty dark in the 2.5 mile long tunnel we went through. It was a sweet tunnel I thought. That’s how I got that wound. Ran into the side of the tunnel a little bit. Later that day we did two two mile long excursions, so 25 miles is our record for daily distance. It made us quite sore, mostly our butts I think, but our legs were somewhat tired as well.

The next day we did a 16 mile ride with Pat’s mom with us. I rode my dad’s bike for that one consequentially. This ride was more painful that the previous, on account of it not being the first one, but it had a cool ending with some downhill and pavement. It was a fine ride, especially after we were done. 😛 I think the first one we did had better views, apparently Pat’s mother and father are planning to come back and go on that one though, so I guess it’s ok that she missed out.

So anyway, mountain biking is good. I’d invest in a comfortable seat though.

Also, Holly, Pat’s sister, came up a day late. She couldn’t manage to ride a bike, but she did manage to complain and shriek quite a bit. She also played some truely horrible music at unnecissarily high decibals. On the plus side, since I always try to find the plus side, she provided extra space for the return trip, so we weren’t crammed as bad as we were going up, and she provided occasional entertainment. Her being around really gives my witty come back organ a workout.
