Reminds me of that book Kait said I should read. What was the name… I can’t think of it. The one with the android and the murder mystery. *shrug*
(edit: Gene is strangely elusive in letting us know what the hell he is referring to… Brain and I decided that he was actually talking about the I, Robot movie. 😛 <3 K) (edit again: I’m not elusive, you just aren’t understanding. I’m giving like every detail I remember. The guys a cop, his boss wears glasses even though it’s old school and is a secret member of a movement that want’s to go back to the old ways, along with the main character’s wife. The main character gets put on a case, with the help of an android from the colonie in the city set up by humans that have colonized other planets. On the other planets though, things are perfect, and so they won’t colonize more, and they have advanced technology and stuff, that isn’t on earth. And they come back to tell the Earlthings to colonize again, or else they’re going to kill themselves cause they can’t support so many people. Everyone lives in cities that are domed, and all food comes from yeast pretty much. Everything is very ordered by the governments, like where and what you eat, where you live, etc. One of the main things Kait liked about it when she recommended it was that one of the modes of transport is the sidewalks move, and they go faster if you step over one, like 5 mph. So you can move back and forth to decide how fast you want to go, and they get in a chase scene on it, skipping from platform to platform and such. It was written a while ago, so the idea of what’s futuristic is sorta outdated. Yeah, that is all. (edit again +1: are you sure it was ME who read this book? Brain: that is like.. the only things that are coming to mind is a vague mixture of the I, Robot movie, 1984, omnivore, and asimov’s(?) (i think he wrote this one) Nemesis.. and im done. and back to me… “i know i can.. i know i can.. i’m fine with my own hand..”
