I wish to pass on discussing the global economic crisis, the global environmental crisis, and other such mundane topics and skip straight to the crucial issue of the time. The males among you have undoubtedly been in the situation where ones good friend gets a significant other and spends all of his time with her instead of hanging out with you. This situation is so common we have developed a rhyming phrase to address the problem and it is often repeated loudly and proudly. That phrase is “bros before hos.”
This is fine with the classic heterosexual relationships, but, I ask, what does one say one one’s homosexual friend is ditching you for his new boyfriend. Bros before bros does not make any sense. The situation is even more confused with homosexual men with their male platonic companions.
Is the solution out there? If not, it really needs to be addressed. Maybe a multi-governmental panel should be formed.
