Recent developements in my life are fairly significant, and I’m relatively sure at least my parents would like to know, so I’ll publish them.
My current plan for classes that I got signed off (things might change if classes fill or something) is to take Introduction to Mechanics (basic physics), Molecular Cell Biology (hard probably), Introduction to Computer Science (pretty much my elective), Independant Research with Dr. Murphy (dunno what exactly, or how much time it will take), and maybe Yoga or Badmitton or something. I need an activity sometime. If all of that goes through that’s a total of 17 credits. Keston will be taking physics with me supposedly, and might be a roommate of mine next year, so that could be cool.
John’s been trying to get me to play Magic: The Gathering. It seems fairly interesting, although I don’t think I’ll ever be motivated enough to spend my own money on my own cards. I will definately play with his cards every now and then though. I had to go to the Taste of Moracco (sic) last time though.
8 didn’t tell the story behind the clean comedian, so I will. I’m not much of a story teller, but 8 and her friend Cassy are happy about it cause it makes the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) look bad. Apparently the comedian cost $2,500. Also apparently someone from the FCA signed a contract, which they don’t have the authority to do, however, it is still binding because on the comedian’s side they had no way of knowing the FCA kid didn’t have the authority. So anyway, I guess basically the FCA forced the college activities board (student run) to pay $2,500 of the last $4,000 for the year a week before the comedian showed up. The board was mad and told the FCA they can have no funds for any activites until they pay it back. They are automatically taking the $100 of starter club money every year from the club to. So basically the club is nothing but a fundraising activity until they raise it. It’s pretty sweet that the board actually did what they should. It seemed fair.
In other news I just bought the new religion book. It’s that tiny section of that huge Indian epic poem. Bagada Gita or something. It’s cool, cause we were talking about it in philosophy too. I was comparing it to Trigun I think in my head. 😀 Should be fairly interesting.
Weather here has been kinda nuts. It’s sunny and cold and windy a lot, and rains periodically. Mostly it just seems really cold for this time of year. 🙁 I wish it was warmer. *shrug*
That’s all. Read the new blog, it’s got a lot of activity so far.
