I scour the internet for news worthy of my attention. He are the findings of the last 5 minutes.
1) They’re planning to make a World of Warcraft movie. What is wrong with these movie people? You cannot make an MMO into a movie. That’s retarded. I’ll probably have to see it just because, but I don’t think it’s a good idea. I’ll let you know in 3 years or whenever. 😛
2) Jelly fish are cool. I can’t actually watch the video here… but I’m sure it’s not all that exciting. However, since I’m a big science nerd, a fast cellular process w/o a video can still be entertaining.
3) Stargate will never end. Apparently they’re going to make a second spin off and a new movie. I dunno if you know, but it all started with a movie, so it would technically be a new movie. I like the movie idea. If they made it well they could broaden the audience base. And a second spin-off could be good, or total crap of course. It seems like the show is growing really fast. If it becomes a new Star Trek or Star Wars it’s having a better start than either of them did. I guess it’ll never really compare since it’s so new, but it does seem to be what the nerds are turning to in the absence of classics. I guess I should catch up and watch all the seasons I’ve missed so I know if this show is destined to have the Six Seal of Approval. SSA… maybe that should become a regular on the blog.
4) Professor Ford never comes to class on time anymore. He’s been late the last 5 days, averaging about 10 minutes. I estimate that I pay him about a dollar a minute to teach me. He owes me like $100. I don’t have a link because that’s not really a news story. 😛
It’s Mother’s Day soon. I hope you all have plans for making your mother’s happy. If you have any ideas you should just e-mail em to me or something. 😛
He’s still not here. Technically, according to the rules I heard by a Ph.D., one only has to wait 15 minutes for a Ph.D., 10 minutes for a Masters, and 5 Minutes for a BA/BS. He’s had his time. I never leave though, I’m too cheap. 😛
Next year I’m going to be living with 4 other guys. While this is the housing situation I was hoping for, and while (hey, I see him coming, professor Ford that is) the 4 guys will be much less trouble than the average 4 guys, some problems do come to mind when I think ahead. I think we’re only going to have 1 fridge, and I think it will be filled with 4 gallons of milk and about 10 tons of cheese. I’m contemplating a group food system. It is not ideal however, since I eat more cheaply than them probably. Maybe not… these guys are pretty frugal.
I should pay attention now that he’s here. 😛
